Zoe - Before & After

I used Photoshop to make Zoe's spots dissapear, and give her clean skin.  I did this using the healing tool. To get the right skin tone to cover up the spot you need to hold down alt and right click. Then you have the correct skin tone and need to start covering up her spots. Everytime you go to a new area of skin where the tone might be slighty different, you need to again hold down alt and right click, or else the skin tone will appear patchy and imperfect.

I feel like i did this well, however i am a little bit dissapointed with how it turned out. When you look at her skin tone you can see that it appears patchy, so i musn't of captured the correct skin tone on different areas of her face. I think this might be due to the reason that when i was finished i went over her skin too many times without getting her right skin tone, and that it why it appears slighty patchy. However i do feel like it was a good attempt, and i enjoyed learning the skill.

CD Cover

This is my CD cover i make on Photoshop. I used the brushes and font tools to get the effect for my CD cover. I feel as if my skills on Photoshop aren't great, and I struggle a lot with this so did not end up with much time to do a better background. I would have liked to have put in a photo from the internet which i feel would have gone in better with the Urban theme, however i do quite like the contrat of colours i have used in my background, and i think the brush i have used shows the edgy side of Urban Heroes. I do like my font though as i feel like it does fit in with the Urban theme, and looks cool.

However overall i am still not greatly pleased with this piece of work, but i did gain skills from it which i will develop in my own time to do better in this next time.

AS Media Production: Induction Evaluation Project

When using Photoshop I feel like I have developed many skills, as I had not used Photoshop before. I can insert and edit text well and change it to bold or regular.

I am confident to move text anywhere around the page, and also I can put the text to the font, size and colour I want. I can put photographs onto the page and transform then and change sizes of them. I understand the different layers where you can only click on the item that is clicked on the layers pallet and I can also set up margin guides. I can insert and edit text well and change it to bold or regular.

I think my weaknesses in Photoshop is that I still have trouble putting on photos that are saved in my documents and I also cannot put shapes onto my work and add text in the shapes. I feel like I could develop in the way that I use font because all of my font in my headings where the same size and style where in professional magazines it changes to stand out more.

I would like to be able to work quicker on Photoshop, as I have to fiddle around with the tools to find out which one I need to use. I would like to be able to make my text slanted instead of just straight, and I would also like to put colours together to make my text stand out more. I feel I should be able to gets images of the Internet and put them on my magazine, as I haven’t yet learnt how to do that.
