I made this magazine front cover on photoshop. I went outside where I got my picture taken to put on my frontcover, then added a mast head, to give my magazine a brand which people can recognise. I then added in other headlines, using different fonts which matched in with the topics (using a typewritter font for a headline about a student, and a bold font for more serious topics such as getting the dream man) and colours i thought was appropriate to these. I then added reward headlines such as 'GET THAT MAN', making people want to buy my magazine to get the reward, and offered an exclusive interview from Kim Kardashian, which only my magazine can offer, beating the competition which is so important to do in the magazine marketing.
I enjoyed doing this and feel as if my skills on photoshop improved slighty as i learnt how to do different fonts and colours, which is a basic but important skill to have. However i feel as if my magazine looks very amatuer, as it is very plain and 2D, though i was pleased with the colour combination i used and i do feel like that makes it look quite professional. However i feel as my skills on photoshop are not brilliant, but the skills i have gained by doing this have helped me alot, therefore i will take these new skills and apply them to my next piece of work.
